What is a weighted grade?
A weighted grade reflects how much each assignment category contributes to your final result. A 90% exam worth 40% of the course affects the total more than a 90% quiz worth 5%.
Weighted contribution = score × weight
Always check the weighting rules in your syllabus. Some instructors drop scores, add extra credit, or calculate categories differently.
